Schmigadoon! required a heightened theatrical language spanning multiple musical genres and tonal worlds. As Art Director, Ryan guided the visualization and execution of diverse environments — from subterranean cabaret to stylized period interiors — translating conceptual direction into cohesive, camera-ready spaces across an episodic production schedule.

Shot in Vancouver, Canada, Schmigadoon! spanned multiple large sound stages and two full-scale exterior backlots. All six episodes were produced concurrently and filmed out of sequence — effectively structuring the season as a three-hour feature within a television schedule.
